Have you heard the news?!? Riley Blake Designs is adding 114 new colors to their Confetti Cottons solid line and we're happy to announce that we've updated their digital color card in the software application. You can now find all 300 of their solid colors in PreQuilt!
We have also added Nocturne, the 2025 Kona Color of the Year to the Kona digital color card!
And in celebration of a new year and gorgeous new colors, we are launching a PreQuilt challenge! Two lucky participants will each win FOUR YARDS of Kona Nocturne.
What to win four yard of Kona Nocturne? Here's how!
Use Kona Nocturne in one of your quilt mockups in PreQuilt
Mockup can be either a designer digital coloring page or an original quilt design by you!
Post your digital mockup on Instagram or comment on our Reddit post
Tag us (@prequilt) and use the hashtag #PrequiltLovesColor
Challenge begins today and two winners will be selected at random on March 1, 2025. Open to US and Canadian participants. (Due to the cost of shipping, broader international participation is too costly. Our apologies).

In the constant hustle of moving forward and getting things done, it's too easy to forget to reflect on what has been achieved. To be honest, I kind of use Instagram as a visual journal of sorts, and I'll often refer back to it for dates on when things happened.
So, according to my unreliable memory and my more reliable Instagram timeline, in 2024 I:
Went to 9 concerts - My favorite was The Gaslight Anthem
Finished 1 solo quilt & participated in 2 others
Wrote 1 magazine article - To be published in the 2025 QuiltCon magazine
Had countless belly laughs with my East End quilt friends
Vended at QuiltCon in Raleigh with Gar and our boys
Visited the Netherlands & Belgium
Made 3 shirts with fabric from my stash
I'm hopeful that 2025 will be just as wonderful. Unfortunately there aren't as many concerts on the horizon, but there are a couple more vending trips.
What are your goals for the new year? In 2025, I'd like to:
Finish 2 solo quilts & participate in at least 1 group quilt
Continue to enjoy belly laughs with my East End quilt friends
Vend at QuiltCon, Quilt Canada & Festival of Quilts - Hope to see you at one of those shows!
Make more handmade clothing - Especially a pair of pants!
Run a half-marathon
In the past, I've set some pretty unrealistic resolutions for myself. But I have found that I'd much rather have some nice-to-have's for the year, rather than strict resolutions to adhere to.
Wishing you all the best as we settle into 2025!
