QuiltCon 2026 Challenge Fabrics are Preloaded in PreQuilt

New on PreQuilt
We don't really have many new features on PreQuilt this month to share. Gar and I have both been working on the non-sexy side of PreQuilt. Gar has been working on improving the speed and visual clarity of PreQuilt and I have been working on all the logistical to dos of exhibiting at our upcoming quilt shows and other operations tasks.
So for now, the only thing we have to get your hyped up about is that the 2026 QuiltCon Challenge fabrics are preloaded in PreQuilt on the QuiltCon color card. We hope this makes it easier for you to design and plan your epic quilts! I can't wait to see them in Raleigh!

The Festival of Quilts // July 31 - August 3, 2025
The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, UK is the biggest quilting show in Europe and we're beyond thrilled to be able to make our European debut at this epic show.
We'll be in Booth E50 with stickers and we look forward to meeting you!

A Note from Laura
It's around this time that I start to feel a bit antsy. Quilt antsy. Quantsy. (I had to do my own spin on the 2019 kawactus). Winter has come and gone and spring is on its way out. And it usually finds me without any significant progress on any of the epic quilt ideas I have floating around in my head. And the QuiltCon deadline, while still months away, seems too soon to finish the quilt(s) I haven't even started. Does anyone else feel that way?
I find myself at a crossroad. Do I dedicate the remaining months on one project and see it through from start to finish? And hope that its design and my craftsmanship get it a spot at QuiltCon? Do I start on a couple of the ideas I have floating around, have fun tinkering with construction and design, but risk not finishing either? Or do I totally give up on the goal of a QuiltCon quilt this year and work on WIPs and Michelle Lander Cain's I Heart Rainbow quilt that bring me the simple joy of making?
Since I don't usually share too much progress updates on quilts I hope to submit to QuiltCon on Instagram, I guess we'll just have to see what happens in February! If you also find yourself in this quantsy state of being, I wish you all the best of luck!
